Are you as addicted to sock knitting as we are? Or is your Ravelry queue filled with lacy shawlette patterns?

Dogwood, Beach, and Sorbet

We recently fell in love with Sunrise Fiber Co. yarn, after ordering a few skeins on Etsy! We just received a shipment of 26 colors of Classic Sock, and more yarn bases are on the way! The colors are vibrant and cheerful, and the base is a generous 400 yards of superwash Merino. There are so many things that could be knit with a single skein!

Seafoam, Caribbean, Citrus, and Raspberry

To get an idea how Classic Sock knits up, check out the finished projects page on Ravelry! The variegated shades create a lovely striped sock, and the more solid colors are perfect for a more complicated stitch pattern.

Blueberry Cupcake, Winter Forest, Valentine, and Gypsy

Freedom, Raspberry Lemonade, and Southern Italy

Neon Flamingo, Caution, UFO

As the Yarn Harlot says, sock yarn doesn’t count as stash, right?

Manos del Uruguay Alegria

I suppose I should blog about Alegria from Manos del Uruguay, before it flies off our shelves! Our customers seem to really love this yarn! Each skein has a generous 445 yards of fingering weight yarn, and it is a blend of 75% superwash Merino and 25% nylon. We carry a lot of Merino at Happy Knits, but this particular yarn feels softer and squishier than usual!
What really stands out are the colors! Alegria is hand dyed with stunning splashes of color. Whether you want a bold jewel tone, a striking neon shade, or a pastel wash of color, Alegria is a wonderful choice for socks, a shawl, or a lightweight summer garment.
