We just received a shipment from Black Trillium Fibres, and added Pebble Worsted to our shelves!

This tightly plied yarn is 100% superwash Merino, and hand dyed in a gorgeous spectrum of semi solid as well as variegated colors. Reach for Pebble Worsted if you would like to knit a sweater, or winter accessory. The base yarn is a squishy and springy 4-ply, with excellent stitch definition, and that tight ply will ensure that your project will last for years of wear. Plus, the colors are fabulous, complex, and interesting. Take a look at some of the colorways available!

Baroness, Fig, Red Maple, Olive, and Mousetail

Iced Teal, English Garden, Fjord, Denim, and Beach Glass

Moon Shadow, Little Mouse, Brindle, Raw Diamond, and Antique

Also, Black Trillium yarn are all hand dyed in a Portland, Oregon. If you are looking for a local and unique yarn while shopping at Happy Knits, think of Pebble Worsted or Merilon Sock.

Ebb and Flow Pillow

Brian’s Ebb and Flow pillow in Jill Draper Makes Stuff Mini Empire in Moonless and Shell

This week we’re publishing another pillow pattern and it’s crocheted!  Our coworker Brian, resident HK crochet expert, designed this pillow using a special double crochet cluster stitch.  This deceptively simple pillow was inspired by the waves and shells found on the coast of the Pacific Ocean.  The wavy stripes form themselves using the special cluster stitch.  Brian’s pattern also includes an optional crochet button band at the top to allow cleaning of the pillow cover and to add a little more character.
