Keeping Warm!

The shelves here at HK are filling up with all kinds of yarn to keep you warm this fall.  We received a large amount of Fibre Company yarns, including Tundra (a chunky-weight that feels like a heaven) and Road to China Worsted (one of my all-time favorite yarns).   A huge shipment from Cascade brought us a beautiful rainbow of Cascade 220, Ecological Wool and Eco +, Cloud, Magnum and Magnum Paints, and 220 Sport.  A bunch of yarn from Manos del Uruguay is on its way, as are several lines from MalabrigoAnd we’re expecting a giant Madtosh order by the end of the month!  We’ve been busy!

On top of all that, we ordered a bunch of new loose-leaf patterns.  Here are a few I’m rarin’ to cast on:

Arlo and Alice” by Elizabeth Smith.  This screams Cascade Ecological Wool and Cascade Eco +.  Adorable.  Anyone need a kid sweater?  I’ll knit three just for kicks.

Winterberry Hood” by Carina Spencer.  Hoods are totally hip.  I. Want. It. In either Black Trillium Merilon, Tosh Merino Light, or Tosh Sock.  YES. And then I’ll go find my Robin Hood.

Turbulence Cowl” by Laura Chau.  This knit up with Road to China Worsted = the most luxurious cowl EVER.  A quick but classy knit.  Gorgeous.

Pleated Ballet Flats” by Julie Weisenberger.  Keep them toesies cozy with this stylish stash-buster!  These make great gifts and use less than 150 yards of worsted weight.

These patterns are all available at our brick and mortar store and on our website.  Come on in and cast one on!

Don’t forget that you can fight off the autumn chill every Thursday evening from 5-8pm at our knit night!  And remember–every first Saturday of the month is our free knitting clinic, from 10am to noon!  Get free help on those dastardly knitting snafus from our oh-so-charming staff.
