Creepy Cute Shop Window!

Posted by on October 24, 2012 / 3 Comments

I can’t believe Halloween is only a week away! But that’s why we’ve made the front windows of Happy Knits suitably spooky!

We’ve got a knitting skeleton, a cobweb covered spinning wheel (maybe the spiders want spinning tools?), and a glittery candy corn garland.

And we have some ghosts, crocheted pumpkin, and a knitted gravestone where we laid our Works in Progress to rest (which is why it says WIP instead of RIP).

Brian crocheted a Cthulhu using a pattern from Creepy Cute Crochet, and this tentacled little guy is hanging out in the front window. If you’re looking for a quick Halloween project, Creepy Cute Crochet is full of fun amigurumi projects, including Medusa, Nosferatu, a Grim Reaper, and an Organ Grinder Monkey, which is probably my favorite.

If you come into the shop next Wednesday, several of us will be working in costume. Are any of you planning handmade, knitted, or crocheted costumes? Tell us about them in the comments! Or visit us in the shop on Halloween!

  2. Hi other Kate!
That’s Ysolda Teague’s Melia jacket. She published the pattern in “Little Red in the City”.

  3. Thanks for the reply :) Ironically, I went to add it to my queue in Ravelry and found it was already in it! Need to do some queue knitting I think…!
