Come On, Get Happy!

We at Happy Knits have some very exciting news.  You already know that we stock a large selection of madelinetosh in many gorgeous hues, but we are overjoyed to introduce the new Happy Knits signature colorway.  Dear reader, meet Happiness.
Madelinetosh has created this colorway exclusively for Happy Knits and today, we received our first shipment.  Yes, that means vintage, tosh merino, tosh merino dk, tosh merino light, sock, tosh dk, tosh lace and pashmina.  What could be better?
Happiness is fun, fanciful and happy  - with depth and dimension as well.  It is the color of the cloudless sky.  It is the color of sweet cotton candy at a summer fair.  It is the color of a smooth robin’s egg.  It is the color of…happiness!
To celebrate the unveiling of our new colorway, our own Melinda VerMeer has designed a lovely shawl to showcase this yarn.  In the tradition that began with the Rikke hat, the shawl is named for one of our favorite customers, Thao.
Thao is a shallow triangle with a garter stitch yoke (for quick knitting!), a centered yarnover spine increase and a lace pattern that incorporates garter stitch sections between arches and “V”s.  Thao was knit with tosh merino light, but lace, fingering or sport can be used and the pattern is easily adaptable for additional lace repeats.
Thao is available as a free download exclusively on our blog. Click here to download the pattern PDF.
So, add Thao to your Ravelry queue, check out the loveliness of Happiness at the shop and prepare to get happy!
