Hello Happy Knitters!
I hope you are all enjoying the amazingly sunny weather we’ve been getting. As the weather changes and we start gearing up for fall, the staff at Happy Knits is planning a fantastic line-up of Fall classes.
If you’ve never knit before, you can join Jolie for a fun beginner project where you will make a cute little felted iPod case or wallet! She will also be giving lessons on how to knit in the round using double pointed needles, two circulars or magic loop; your choice. Jolie is also offering you the opportunity to learn basic colorwok skills with a Christmas stocking, a perfect holiday gift.
Our Anne will be conducting a two class workshop on how to use Anne Budd’s Handy Book of Sweater Patterns. This short workshop will teach you how to utilize the book’s information to create a child’s sweater.
Have you ever wanted to learn to design your own knit items??? Melinda is prepared to share with you just how to do that. She is offering a class on how to incorporate a stitch pattern into a triangular shawl, a class that will teach you the basics of using a stitch pattern to create your own unique socks. And if you are intrigued by the Japanese stitch dictionaries but maybe a little intimidated by them, a class on their basics and how to decipher these fantastic books.
If you’ve ever had the desire to crochet, but you can’t decide where to start, try out Crochet Finishes For Knit Items. In this one session class you will learn basic crochet stitches while creating little coasters to use around your house. Evan will also explaing how to bind-off and seam using crochet techniques.
